Year 5
During Year 5, children will draw upon their prior knowledge in order to develop and deepen their skills. .
Children will be confident with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Children will be confident with using all four operations with larger numbers. Children will read a range of genres and will continue to use inference skills. When writing children will use punctuation accurately including brackets, dashes and commas. They will continue to develop their spellings.
