Year 2
Year 2 is the final year of Key Stage 1 curriculum. During this year, children will develop on their phonics work in Year 1. Children will use their phonics knowledge alongside their spelling skills to read and write. Children will deepen their knowledge of the number system and further develop their mental maths skills.
In Year 2, your child will take their Key Stage 1 SATS examinations in May. The SATS paper will assess the following, Reading, SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) and Maths.
